The article I wanted to publish this week will wait because I am way too excited to announce some incredible news!! If you follow me on social media and especially Instagram, you are already aware, but here are all the details of my current happiness! My book My Solo Wedding in Santorini is a FINALIST for an independant book award in the UK, the Wishing Shelf Book Awards! So proud, excited and moved too. A year ago, I decided to self-publish after 115 literary agents rejected my book, quite honestly I had no idea that I could receive any award one day. Once again, I show you how important it is to believe in your dreams and never give up. Message from the founder: Many congratulations on being a FINALIST! Our readers very much enjoyed your book. The readers of this book awards, more than 150, are only authors, which means that I’ve been awarded by my peers, something to be even more proud of. My 1st book, my 1st contest and I'm a finalist. I even received a certificate! The winners will be announced on April 1, 2023, let’s dream bigger! And a video at the end of this article where I talk about the contest and my book! Additionally, I was interviewed by the Mail on Sunday, one of the British best-selling newspapers, to talk about my story and my book My Solo Wedding in Santorini. I don’t know the date of publication of the article, but of course I’ll keep you informed. Finally, I want you to know that I also participate in an independent book awards in the US, the 2023 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. I hope that my story will please as much on the other side of the Atlantic! Already 5 years since this blog was created to share my life, my dreams, my inspiration. An adventure that made me discover so many incredible people, but also encouraged me to find you the best exhibitions, and interesting, unusual topics. I learned to open up more and share my life more genuinely. But also, to stretch my potential and my creativity! My book is proof of that! It was hard to choose, but here are my 10 favourite blog posts:
Reread my Valentine's Day articles or those that correspond very well to this day:
“I love pink and Barbie! », this sentence coming from my book and in which a whole chapter is devoted to it, represents quite well my mood for Valentine's Day, which inspired me the following photo. And to celebrate my blog's anniversary and Valentine's Day, 2 of my books will be given away to show you all the love and gratitude I have for you. Giveaway contest on Facebook and Instagram (@blogaboutl), you can still participate! For my part, this year I asked my sister to be my Valentine, on the program a date with several naked men… on the big screen hahaha And yes, Magic Mike Last Dance in theaters now, and that’s the perfect opportunity, especially since the film takes place at the London show, which I attended and which I talk about in my Article My Birthday in London!! Believe me despite the zero degrees outside, we're going to be hot in the room! Trailer at the end of this article… It doesn't matter if you're single, in a relationship, if you have plans or not, let's celebrate love in all its forms, our family, our friends, our pets! And if you're brave enough, tell yourself “I love you” in the mirror 😉 Very Happy Valentine's Day!! Lots of Love & Joy, L. |
