Unicorns are my thing of the moment. You know children create an imaginary world to grow without apprehension. Well, now I need my imaginary world. Of course, I'm not saying I'm going to see a unicorn in the street tomorrow, but hey, I like that belief about this imaginary animal. It appeared in different cultures and at different times since Antiquity. Although it’s not part of Greek mythology, ancient Greek writers reported unicorns were living in India. In the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, it was a symbol of grace and purity. It was said that its horn had healing powers and as a result a whole trade was organised around it. Narwhal tusks were sold as genuine unicorn horns. By the way, until the 19th century, people actually believed in its existence and it was described in encyclopedias and natural history books. It's amazing all the items you can find. I admit that I resist not to buy all of them Some small objects couldn’t pass my temptation. These are like my new talismans or charms. Unicorn is a fantastic, dreamlike world. It's beautiful, pure, elegant, delicate. I also admit I have purchased some makeup. Again, I'm not really going to make me unicorn but just a few small touches, just to give me self-confidence in dog days; a kind of charm to illuminate my day. I could have chosen a super heroine, but there are already lots of super women, aren’t they girls?!? Well, it's like that, today the unicorn, tomorrow we’ll see ... but at least if I want to get rid of all these accessories, I can give them to my 5 years old goddaughter! I'm a fan of Frozen and Queen Elsa, but at almost 40 with no child, it's much more complicated to explain to people ... In addition, cosplay, abbreviation of Costume + Play, this practice of wearing costume that represents a character, is spreading out with more and more members. Japan has 600,000 cosplayers but the phenomenon is now global, and conventions are growing everywhere: France, the U.K., the United States, Canada, Australia, India ... Proof that as adult we need to dream awake again and again. And when the world is too narrow minded, other universes welcome us. Finally, we say that imagination is the greatest source of inspiration. Aristotle said: "There is no genius without a grain of madness. " Haaaaaaa these Greeks! Let's follow this adage, let's be crazy, put on your glitter, dance to the following song, Paradise by George Ezra and just like me, believe in unicorns!
